Experiences
The name of this park, Garden of Five Senses, describes it perfectly. Visitors can enjoy a quiet afternoon picnic, a private yoga routine, or a rest stop during a bicycle ride. Designed to entice each of the five senses, the park features winding pathways bordered by a variety of plants, each with a different texture, aroma and form. A trickling waterfall set amid shaking bamboo stalks adds to the experience. You will find educational signs along the pathways describing many species of plants found in inland Southwest Florida, including muhly grass, dune sunflower, gardenia, lemon grass, crinium lilly, beauty bush, orange jasmine and walters viburnum. The park also includes a ground level sundial where visitors can use their own shadow to tell the time of day. An elevated garden is easily accessible for handicap visitors.
