Experiences

This park gives visitors the opportunity to experience nature from the water. Higel Marine Park is a great place to launch a canoe, kayak, or boat. Stay along the shoreline for a bird’s eye view of hatchling fish in the grass flats, or go out the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) to the Gulf of Mexico to see dolphins and manatees. From the park, you can paddle or row to Snake Island where the locals go to picnic. The park includes a scenic picnic area overlooking the ICW.
