Experiences
Looking for a great fishing experience? The City of North Port’s Marina Park and Boat Ramp gives avid boaters and fishing enthusiasts direct access to Charlotte Harbor and Boca Grande Pass, the world’s premier tarpon fishing spot. Water access from the park feeds into Big Slough, then into the Myakka River. Boaters can go north on the Myakka River to experience Florida’s native landscape by water, or south toward El Jobean and some of the world’s best saltwater fishing. Along the way, discover native birds, saltwater fish, manatees, alligators and fauna. The park’s boat ramp is ideal for canoeing, kayaking and motor boating, no matter what size vessel. The dock is ADA accessible for the handicapped. If you prefer to stay on land, take the opportunity to fish from the dock and enjoy a picnic.
