Experience a bit of Old Florida by touring the grounds and historic home of this unique park. A one mile nature trail, with boardwalks over wetlands, winds through diverse eco-systems, through pine flatwoods and oak hammocks.  Signs throughout the park provide descriptions of natural and sustainable features. As Sarasota County’s first Gold LEED certified park, Urfer Family Park represents a new milestone in sustainability. Another feature of the park is the renovated C. B. Wilson House, a historic structure constructed circa 1917. Open to the public for touring, exhibits spotlight the agricultural and forestry history of the area.
