Experiences

For those looking for a paddle experience, this is a good launch point. Neville Marine Preserve and Palmer Point Park in Little Sarasota Bay are across the bay and provide wonderful birding opportunities. Be careful crossing the Intracoastal Waterway, keeping your bow (front of the canoe or kayak) facing into motorboat wakes. You can journey south without crossing much open water or motorized boating channels, following the shoreline to Blackburn Point Park.
